Used to love this place as a child and with my family...Unfortunately it has been tainted with homeless people. And it's not just the homeless, ok that is a city problem, even though does make me feel on edge coming here at times. Sometimes the staff can act like it's such a chore to help assist finding material of any kind. Felt unwanted and ignored the last time I went. There are other branches at least.
Knowledgeable staff and the upstairs meeting area was perfect for our group. Several of us who normally only vist the other branches were excited to be here and found great books to check out.
Love this library! I miss the kids area being upstairs though. Something about going up the stairs as a kid was magical.
I went into the library this evening with my family to get a membership and was immediately greeted and promptly assisted by the friendliest librarian. She was so thorough at explaining everything and all the library has to offer, as we are new to town. We had researched the makerspace beforehand and were given a tour of that after getting our library card. We were blown away, such a cool space and friendly staff-- we are excited to try it out. All around a wonderful experience, thanks again to the staff here!
A great way to get from your house to study. But they even let us have water in the library.
