Cepeda Branch, Austin Public Library

Nice neighborhood library. Looks like it has been renovated like many others around Austin. There are computers, seating area, a kids area, restrooms and water, and rooms for events (and books, obviously!). The parking lot has some shade. I was here for a summer playgroup with kids, a great experience overall.

Nice little library, has a really cozy section for kids to play, and hosts many little events that would be fun for locals to participate in. There's even computers despite the small size, and many empty spots. My only compliant would be that the conference room is a little bare, could use some wall decorations to make it more cozy, and a hdmi plus projector would be really useful.

This library is not very welcoming! It was my first time here and despite the children area being completely empty (not a single kid in the entire library), the staff asked me to leave because I was sitting reading my book in the the children area. There were 2 chairs available on the other side of the library that I didn't see, but in the children area there were 3 empty tables and 5 empty chairs. I would have gladly moved if there were children in the area, because I just needed a quiet area to read, but this was simply rude. Maybe they should gate off the children area if no one is allowed over there. I won't be coming back.

Cute little library with plenty of toys for little ones

The sunlight streaming through those massive stained-glass windows really creates a calm, peaceful vibe as soon as you step inside. The sanctuary has that classic, beautiful architecture that makes the service feel special, but the people there are surprisingly down-to-earth and friendly. And it's great how they manage to balance that traditional church feeling with a very open, modern attitude toward everyone in the community. It’s a solid place to spend a Sunday morning if you want to feel both inspired and welcomed.
