Good evening Family. My very first time visiting this library, which was previously named the Germantown Branch, it was renamed the Joseph E. Coleman Northwest Regional Library for the first African-American City Council President. I visited today to acquire free headshots for my Krystique health and wellness business. It blew my mind that the event was free. Aaron is the photographer here and he is compensated by the library. What a great partership? I also ran into some folks who were part of the Deaf Community. I shared that I am hearing impaired and a wonderful conversation ensued after that. I had a lovely time meeting them and talking with them.. The headshot experience surfaced quickly. It started at 2 pm and I was completed around 2:15 pm. A wonderful experience here today. In the beginning of this day, Saturday, March 7, 2026, I felt despondent and depressed. My spirits lifted when I met and saw these wonderful folks here today. I met a young couple, Naima and Christopher plus another young lady, Shakia. I am looking forward to their next meeting on Saturday, April 4th. from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. Good evening, workout, be active and mobile, fit and fabulous especially for people over 50 years of age. The library is nice and large. The next time that I go, I will look around and explore. I visited the rest room and it was ok, equipped with dryers, soap and soap dispensers. Also I parked in the back. They have a back lot just for the library personnel and customers, equipped with about twenty parking spaces. I see they had a zone number and I entered it on my meter app. Paid for my parking via Paypal.
Rory and Storytime is very nice and educational.
Friendly people with good selection of movies, video games, anime amongst other books
Love this Regional Library, mostly due to nostalgia 🙌🏾. The kids are separated from the adults between floors, there's activities going on here, & now they have resources that can be given out, as well. I wish it was around the corner from me, but it's not too far. I have to go more often. I feels welcoming & warm everytime I walk in, no matter what!
This library has all the best books at your fingertips. I really enjoy coming here.
Friendly staff and a good selection! I hope they get funds soon for some new lighting though.
Great staff and book selection
Very Helpful people on the desk.
Okay, so this place is huge. I never went in because of the somewhat chaotic surroundings but this library is like an oasis in the middle of a lawless desert.
Great Library. Very easy to go in and use computers and print things...
Why it matters

Places like this are more than coordinates. They are where ideas become decisions, where communities keep memory, and where the words in a textbook become a room you can stand inside.
