Waste of tax dollars because this library offers nothing good to the community. They don't have librarians or people to help inside the building. They don't have a simple fax machine and they give misinformation about where a fax machine is located. They only accept credit cards so if you have a child that needs something they will need you or an adult to get it for them. This place really should be shut down because they rarely have people using all this expensive equipment. They built this tech library in the wrong area and are funding it with your tax dollars..They offer nothing to a low income community as far as basic needs copy and fax machine.They can only be accessed if you got a credit or debit card is unacceptable.
They are cashless and make you use a credit or debit card to use the printer. It costs like $.25 I think, but they put a $5 hold on your card that falls off after a day or so. The location is clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I’d recommend this place for printing because I got what I needed and was in and out within a couple of minutes.
I had such a great experience at the Houston Public Library. The space itself is beautiful and welcoming, but what really stood out was the staff. Every employee I interacted with was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help. Each department felt well-run and full of people who truly know their stuff. The overall vibe was inspiring and made me want to stay, learn, and explore more. This is one of those places that reminds you how valuable public spaces can be. Highly recommend visiting.

Complete the TECHLink requirements to get started on all they have to offer. Looking forward to my next creative TECHLink experience.
